Malta from a Japanese perspective

How to get to Malta from Japan

f:id:Maltalover:20200802002305j:plainHow do you get to malta?

This is a frequently asked question.

Unfortunately there are no direct flights from Japan to Malta 😢
It takes 16-24 hours, mainly via major cities in Europe or the Middle East.
That's far!!!!!!!

Many people give up on travel when they hear this.

If you're going to Malta for the first time,
why don't you try visiting it as if you were visiting Malta?😊

If you have enough time, you can also spend a few days in the transit city
before heading to Malta👍

🛫 Via major cities in Europe 🛬

For example, direct flights to Rome, Frankfurt, Zurich, etc. (about 12 hours)
Getting from each city to Malta (about 2 hours) is simple and quick.
You may be able to arrive on the same day. Recommended for time-priority people.
The difficulty is that it is a little expensive💰

🛫 Via the Middle East 🛬

Before Covid-19, there were three companies operating from Tokyo to Malta.
Both started late at night and arrived the next day.
Currently, due to Covid-19, Emirates Airlines has been suspended from service. The Emirates office in Malta has also been closed.

It takes about 11-12 hours to reach the Middle East.
✈Qatar Airways (Doha)
*As of August 2020, it seems that there are no direct flights between Doha and Malta. 6 hours for non-stop flights.
✈Turkish Airlines (Istanbul)
The flight time between Istanbul and Malta is approximately 2.5 hours.

It may take longer than it takes to travel through major cities in Europe, so the charges may be reduced.
In the Middle East, if you lengthen the transit, you can tour the city for free or at a cheap price, You may want to check it out🔍

🛫 Others 🛬
You can also go from Japan to Seoul or Hong Kong and then through major European cities. It will take some time, but hopefully you can arrive on the same day.

By the way, from late April to early May of this year, I was planning to go to Malta and booked Turkish Airlines. However, due to Covid-19, it was discontinued😭
I've never boarded Turkish Airlines, I was looking forward to it. It was very disappointing.

Next time, I will introduce basic information about Malta. Don’t miss it!! f:id:Maltalover:20200509115838j:plain
