Malta from a Japanese perspective

Basic information about Malta (time difference)

f:id:Maltalover:20200525223633j:plainHow long is the time difference?

I’m sometimes asked by my colleague.
Why does my colleague ask me that question?
I guess it's because I take vacations other than long vacations and go to Malta😆

The time difference with Japan is 8 hours. Japan is 8 hours ahead of Malta.
When Japan is at midnight, Malta is at 16:00.
When Malta is at 12:00 noon, Japan is at 20:00.
It's complicated 😓

In addition, Malta has summer time, with a time difference of 7 hours from Japan from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October.
When Japan is at midnight, Malta is at 17:00.
When Malta is at noon, Japan is at 19:00.

While studying in Malta, I called my colleague who was in Japan, but I was worried about the time difference.
The time difference bothers me when contacting friends around the world on WhatsApp. By the way, in Japan, the LINE App developed in South Korea, not WhatsApp, is a common chat tool.

I can't calculate the time immediately, so I use the world clock function of my phone. This is very convenient 👍

The most troublesome time difference is a flight with a connection in another country.
There are no direct flights from Japan to Malta, so I will travel to Malta via another country. When there is a time difference between the stopover and Malta, I lose the sense of time.

My watch broke when I went to Malta via Dubai. And my phone didn't work well so I couldn't use the world clock function.
I checked the departure time many times with the clock at the airport.
Also, I was buying a mobile ticket and had no paper tickets. I was very impatient because mobile tickets aren’t displayed easily 😨

After this incident, I will print out the ticket on paper. For mobile tickets, take a screenshot of the ticket screen.
